Greenshoots has been successful in receiving some additional funding, which needs to be spent by March 2010. If your estate has not applied within the last year, and would like to buy something to improve participation and social events, please let me know, we may be able to help.
Thanks very much,
Loraine

Can you trhen confirm for me please that at a recent Patch meeting it was stated that only £6000 was left in the kitty and thiis will be carried forward to April, and that no further applications would be considered this year because of this?

Hi Loraine,
I'm not sure that your comments come "from the horses mouth", but you do speak with authority in respect of the Greenshoots Project. Roy take note.
Best regards Loraine, (off on a HAPPI trip to Germany/Switzerland this week).

Greenshoots is proving to be a very successful project across all of the Hanover estates. We have helped a total of 59 estates during this financial year, and the programme is still active. If you would like an application form and a list of funding ideas, please contact me on 01480 223995.
Thanks very much, Loraine Harris from the Engagement Team

Hi Antony.Your comments are very interesting indead. But my source of information, this little bird, is still alive and chirping, and insisting that the situation is unfortunately to the contrary.
Perhaps a comment could be obtained directly from the horses mouth, the person who administers this scheme. If it is yourself, then obviously I must accept what you say and strangle the little bird. It is a bit like Monty Python and the dead parrot!!

Hi Roy,
I think you should shoot the "little bird", that missinformed you in respect of the funds running our for the Greenshoots project. I have it on the best authority that the fund is up and running at full steam ahead. The project aims to spent up to the limit each year, and will continue to do so well into the future, so anyone who is considering making a bid for funds, keep up with the process. I am vey pleased that this Greenshoots project is having such a success, and it is an example that other Associations would seek to achieve.
Antony Hamilton.

I am told by a little bird that this scheme has already run out of funds, and that no more applications can be considered until April 2010. Apparantly the scheme has so many applications on hold that in April 2010 the number of applications will be far in excess of any funds that may be available.
II understand that this is because the max grant is £5000 and that applicants are taking full advantage of this when making requests.
Hopefully somebody who has the facts will be able to shoot down this little bird and give us the actual true position??
The Estate in which I live has had an application approved, and we have fitted out a residents "Garden Room" with tables, chairs, lighting, heating, carpeting, fridge, microwave, dart board etc etc. The Residents Association is very active, and we hold wine evenings, ethnic lunches, bingo and whatever the residents want organised. It has made a very marked difference to the quality of life of residents. All this would not have been possible without assistance from Green Shoots.

Hello Margaret, David and Antony,
Estates who apply for Greenshoots funding need to collect 20% of the total amount, and I have plenty of application forms for anyone who would like to apply.
Just give me a call on 01480 223995, if I'm not there, just leave a message and I'll call you straight back.
Kind regards,
Loraine

Thanks Antny and David. Yes, you're right David - just read it up and to quote - "(you need).......agreement from the majority of the residents on your estate and have raised some funds to go towards your project ". No indication of how much you have to raise but I guess that varies.
Watch this space......or not ;-))

Is Greenshoots the scheme where you are given a grant, but you have to back it up by providing some funding yourself to show willing...or am I thinking of something else, that I saw in Hanover's magazine?
