Hanover World

Went to see it last night and it was okay. I was not impressed - although I preferred it to the book!

I never could stand the Lewis Carrol original and the 3D film is funnier....and it has Jonny Depp......so it wasn't a complete waste of money.

I can't recommend it, it really does not live up to all the hype.

Hi Brian - nothing I can recall!! Not that that is anything to go by....my powers of recall are sadly diminished, though thankfully I can still find my way home!

Charlestown.....ah, yes, a very interesting place. In my previous life (when I lived in Cornwall) I remember taking a wrong turn, on my way to a concert at Carlyon Bay, and ending up on the harbour. It was foggy and out of the mist loomed a beautiful tall ship, I suddenly felt a chill down my spine and was overcome by a feeling of gloom and sadness. As I reversed to manoeuvre off the quay, I came alongside the name of the vessel - 'Marques'. That was about 3 years before the terrible tragedy and she was in for one of her regular refits.....was I just spooked by the foggy night? Or was it some kind of premonition?

Alice in Wonderland 3D

Margaret - 2 years ago I was in Charlestown, Cornwall, there were a film crew filming in the harbour and on the tall ships...they were doing a re-make of Alice in Wonderland.
Were there any scenes of this type in the film? Just curious...Bi
